Peace and Community Continue at The Circle School
The Circle School successfully navigated the brave new world of distance learning during the spring 2020 semester and will be starting fall 2020 with remote learning, in compliance with the Metro Health Directive. We spent the summer building on our spring experiences to create the most engaging and enriching distance learning experience possible.
We currently have spaces available for Kinder and 2nd through 5th grades for the 2020-2021 school year, but we are accepting waitlist applications for all grades should a space become available.
Being part of a small school with an adaptive cooperative community is a real value in this time of uncertainty and we have unique strengths to cope with this pandemic: a small scale community with small classes; maximized outdoor learning spaces; informed and flexible responses to the pandemic that prioritize the safety of our students; a compassionate community that takes seriously our responsibilities to protect each other. We are uniquely positioned as a family-integrated coop to creatively and constructively respond to contemporary challenges.
Once it is deemed safe to do so, The Circle School fully intends to open for on-campus education with policies in place for the safest possible environment in the evolving reality of this pandemic. If you are looking for a school with small classes, a distinctive curriculum, passionate teachers, and an engaged cooperative community, please consider The Circle School.
Founded in 1965, we are a family integrated cooperative school combining academic excellence with a unique curriculum oriented around storytelling, bridging the arts and sciences, nature-based education including gardening and sustainability, and respectful conflict resolution that encourages the development of compassion and empathy. We are internationally designated as an Ashoka Changemaker School in recognition of our cultivation of students with the skills and confidence to change the world for the common good.
