Peace and Community Continue at The Circle School
The Circle School started fall 2020 with remote learning for our older students, in compliance with the July 17th Metro Health Directive. We gratefully welcomed the majority of our students back to campus on September 8th with the support and direction of Metro Health. Policies for on-campus education have been in place for the safest possible environment in the evolving reality of this pandemic. Our flexible co-op community was able to pivot quickly in response to the December 8th Metro Health Directive and moved back to distance learning as of Monday December 14, 2020. Following Winter Break, students were able to return to on-campus instruction on Monday, January 11, 2021. We will continue to monitor local conditions and public health guidance and adjust accordingly as this unpredictable year unfolds.
Being part of a small school with an adaptive cooperative community is a real value in this time of uncertainty and we have unique strengths to cope with this pandemic: a small scale community with small classes; maximized outdoor learning spaces; informed and flexible responses to the pandemic that prioritize the safety of our students; a compassionate community that takes seriously our responsibilities to protect each other. We are uniquely positioned as a family-integrated coop to creatively and constructively respond to contemporary challenges. If your family is looking for a school with small classes, a distinctive curriculum, passionate teachers, and an engaged cooperative community, please consider The Circle School.
Applications are being accepted now for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year.
We currently have limited spaces available for the 2020-2021 school year and, as always, we are accepting waitlist applications for all grades should a space become available.
